ABSTRACT

The characterisation of foreign capital transfers in Nigeria may seem to reflect the theoretical assumption that the transfers would be targeted at capital generative investments and enhance economic growth. But in application, there are contradictions between the theory and practice in Nigeria. This paper is a political economy examination of some aspects of the application of foreign inflows in Nigeria.
